Pregnancy plays a vital role in almost all married couples. But now many studies have indicated that infertility is on the rise due to various reasons.

What May Be Reasons

Hormones play an important role during pregnancy. The unwanted hormonal changes reduce the chances of pregnancy to a great extent. The ovulation process is greatly influenced by hormonal changes and is one of the prime results of infertility. ovulation disorders like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) are on the rise for many women.

Age remains a basic factor for pregnancy. As the age increases the chances of fertility starts to decline rapidly. The process of ovulation starts to become slow as age increases. Pregnancy becomes hard after the age of 35, the simple basic reason is the decline of the ovulation process. The best reproductive age for females is the 20s.

The rise of the problem of infertility is also observed in males, the quantity and quality of sperm in males also play an important role in fertilization. 

Today's fast lifestyle has its impact on infertility. Lack of physical activity, obesity, and chronic disorders also have an impact on the fertilization process. The increase in body weight also makes pregnancy challenging. Both male and female infertility can be brought on by infections.

Women with untreated gonorrhea and chlamydia may develop pelvic inflammatory disease, which may result in fallopian tube obstruction due to scarring. Syphilis that is left untreated makes a pregnant woman more likely to experience a stillbirth.   • Infertility seems to be increasing amongst eligible Indian couples.  India has about 27.5 million infertile people.

  • Sweden has one of the highest fertility rates in Europe (close to 1.9 children per woman. (UNFPA, 2018)

  • The prevalence of infertility in Britain was 12.5% among females but 10.1% among males.

Maintaining a regular menstrual cycle is very important for pregnancy. Having a proper diet, and regular exercise, to maintain proper body weight will always help to increase the chances of pregnancy.

Many times women with irregular periods take self-medication, which can prove dangerous. The only way to treat your irregular menstrual cycle is to visit your gynecologist. The O.T.C. product will do more harm than to give a benefit.
